What would healing mean for you?

Here a great number of disabled people used to lie—the blind, the lame, the paralyze 5One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. 6When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?”

7“Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.”

8Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” 9At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked.

Often times I read the bible and out of all the healings, setting free, and wonderful miracles he did, I truly believe I serve a God that I know should have been able to do more.

While I make this statement, I’m not referring to what HE could’ve done, but more so why he couldn’t do it.

This brings me to the revelation that sometimes we have been in a broken or confused state for so long it becomes what we are used to.

Our bodies even get used to being a certain way. If you have back pain, your back gets used to bending you over, if you are used to being sad on rainy days, your mind will begin to put you in a depressed state before you even realize its a dreary day.

We have so much power we just don’t properly utilize it! As the verse stated above, this man had been sick for 38 years! In order to be healed, he had to believe that there was life on the other side of his healing! That healing was an absolute option!

My question for you this week is can you stand to be blessed, healed, or delivered? If your life could change for the better in the next hour would you accept? I mean truly wholeheartedly accept no longer carrying the baggage you have carried for so long?

And if your answer is yes, truly imagine what that would look like? What would you change to accept how things are? For example, if you’re used to being bent over, now that you can walk upright what are your plans for your life?

SO many times we don’t think past the healing only the healing itself!

Healing is ALWAYS a minute away to those who truly believe, “Go and be healed”!  Walk into what God has already freed you from!
