Does Heaven Pick Sides?

It’s been a while since I’ve written a post and partly because I’ve been trying to do more listening then speaking, observing then making statements and taking sides.

And yet hear I am, returning because the words in my mind and heart are just welling up to the point of overflow.

I have been so disheartened with politics, the virus, innocent people being murdered by police, and Christianity  choosing sides and making it a question of ones beliefs and integrity rather than the situations at hand.

I gave up religion a long time ago and decided to simply follow Jesus. And while I am disheartened because people I looked up to have chosen sides, based off their view point, I remember that Jesus has never once picked a side and he sees things far greater than any of us on earth could ever see.

Grace says that you don’t have it right, but he will cover you.

Grace says that I know the intentions of your heart despite the actions you may choose to get to the desired result.

Everyone is doing what they think is best despite how I feel. I cannot clean anyone else’s moral filter just like they cannot clean mine, Only Jesus can do that work.

With the election, the virus, schooling options, and the turmoils life already presents,

remember that it’s not your job to have it all figured out, you simply can’t.

Your job is to show grace, and to seek his light in all things.

Your job is not to cast stones but deflect them.

Jesus knows what needs done and in the end that’s exactly what will be.

Take the worry and the anxiety off of each situation wearing you down and remember that his peace surpasses everything.

And I leave believers with this question. Despite ALL you see, look deeper, what is God REALLY up to ?

Romans 16:17-18

I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.
